Mindfulness courses

AWARE’s 2018 Mindfulness programme launched

AWARE’s Mindfulness programme has been launched for 2018. Mindfulness is a form of meditation which can help you develop skills and techniques to cope with the daily challenges a busy life can bring, such as stress and anxiety.

It involves making a special effort to give your full attention to what is happening in the present moment.

The courses are delivered by AWARE Mindfulness Practitioner, Frank Liddy who has over 30 years of experience in the delivery of Mindfulness and is regarded by global leaders as the leading Mindfulness Practitioner in Northern Ireland.

Frank said, “Mindfulness is an essential skill for everyday living. Mindfulness practice has been shown to help prevent recurring depression and is an effective treatment for anxieties and worries and for helping to reduce stress. We know Mindfulness works and can help people in their daily lives.

“Our programme for 2018 includes a six week Mindfulness programme, running for two hours on Wednesday nights for six weeks, a condensed course for professionals running over two days and a day-long self-compassion course.”

Dr Michael Logan, a GP who attended a Mindfulness course said, “Since attending AWARE’s Mindfulness course I now practice Mindfulness daily, it destresses me, refocuses me and makes me more receptive to what’s coming through the door. I would love to be able to prescribe it!”
