Lobbying.ie was commissioned in order to regulate and increase transparency of lobbying within the Republic of Ireland. The register will track who is lobbying, whom they are lobbying and about what.

The register was developed by Dovetail Technologies with Aurion Learning supporting the project through the development of an animated ‘explainer’ video that introduces the subject of lobbying and the purpose of the new register.

Aurion will also be working to create a number of online support videos to help users navigate the new register and complete their returns.

Reflecting on the project, Gavin Woods, Business Development Manager at Aurion Learning said:

“We are delighted to have been involved in such a vital and worthwhile initiative. The new register will contribute to a fairer and more open society by allowing the public to access information on who is involved in lobbying and what activities they have undertaken.”

He added:

“We are also delighted to once again be working alongside Dovetail Technologies. The integrated support content developed by Aurion will complement the Dovetail design and further assist users to identify the requirements for submitting a return.”
