ASCERT Launches New Alcohol and Drug Training Calendar

Drug and alcohol support charity, ASCERT, is delighted to launch its new calendar of Workforce Development Training running from January to June 2018, funded by the Public Health Agency.

Courses are aimed at practitioners working with adults, children or young people within the statutory and voluntary/community sectors, and are designed to develop knowledge and skills in addressing drug and alcohol misuse. Courses are free and are CPD certified.

 

Courses for people working adults:

Foundation Module: Adults and Family Members (3 days)

Accredited Advanced Module - Level 3 Certificate in Substance Misuse (12 days)

Substance Misuse Awareness (1 Day)

Parental Substance Misuse (2 days)

Substance Misuse Awareness (1 day)

Supporting Family Members (2 days)

Understanding Alcohol Awareness (1/2 day)

Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (1 day)

 

Courses for people working with children and young people:

Foundation Module: Children, Young People & Families (3 days)

Safeguarding Children: Hidden Harm Protocol (1/2 day)

The Regional Initial Assessment Tool for Young People (RIAT) (1/2 day)

Working with Young People & Substance Misuse (2 days)
