To work directly with young people to develop their social education by providing programmes of activities. This post is for staff appointed to undertake duties under the direction of a youth worker in-charge or nominated youth support worker.

Key Requirements for Applicants

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following by the application closing date:

  • OCN Level 3 in Youth Work: You need to hold this specific qualification.
  • Demonstrated Curriculum Experience: You'll need to show evidence that you've both delivered and developed parts of the youth work curriculum in various settings. This means you've taught or facilitated programs and also helped create or improve them.

It's desirable (but not essential) if you also have:

  • OCN Level 4 in Youth Work: Holding this higher-level qualification would be a strong advantage.

Please Note: The selection panel has the right to enhance these criteria, meaning they could potentially raise the requirements if needed.

Safeguarding and Funding Information

  • Enhanced Disclosure Check: This post involves working with young people, so it's subject to the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order 2007. If successful, you'll need an enhanced disclosure check, which currently costs £33. Details on how to pay for this will be provided with your contract.
  • Fixed-Term Contract: This position is funded until March 31, 2026, and is subject to continued funding.
