The Family Support Project Worker will give young people the opportunity to engage within the wider community through fun and engaging activities

The Cedar foundation deliver a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.

Due to continued expansion there is an exciting opportunity for a Family Support Project Worker 

Western Family Support Project Worker                         REF: 19-075-PW-WHSCT-WEB

The Western Family Support Project Worker will enable young people to access a range of fun activities in their local area. It may be going to the cinema, attending a local youth club, supporting the young person in a sporting or other leisure activity. 

The Western Family Support Project Worker will provide personal care and transport to young people where necessary and this may include some manual handling tasks.
Hours:                         25 hours per week
                                    Due to the nature of our work with young people, the majority of the Western Family Support Service is delivered afternoons, evenings and                                                  weekends.

Contract:                    Permanent

Location:                    Springtown

Salary:                        £19, 554 pro rata per annum

Essential:                  

•           Basic qualification to RQF Level 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care, Youth & Community Work or related field.

•           Minimum of 6 months experience providing support to young people 

•           Ability to work independently

•           Good organisational skills

•           Good communication & interpersonal skills
