Trustee Board Member (voluntary) for ABC Community Network

ABC Community Network is seeking new Trustee Board Members to get involved and make a difference!

ABC Community Network (ABC) is a registered Charity and community development organisation working with over 240 voluntary and community groups and their members across the Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon Borough Council area.

ABC was established in 1996 and provides a range of physical support services and practical assistance for existing and emerging groups. Membership is free and open to all fully constituted community and voluntary groups.  ABC works to ensure the needs of local communities are represented to public bodies, local and regional authorities, and government.  ABC also articulates member’s needs through active participation as a member or partner on a range of public and representative bodies within the southern area and at a regional level.

We are looking for individuals who can use their skills & expertise to help us grow our vision while supporting the Board in developing & overseeing our strategy.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Keeping the organisation legal and safe

Agreeing our strategy, vision, mission, and values, to make decisions clearer, and to motivate staff, existing supporters, and potential funders

Being aware of, and managing risk

Overseeing performance, including financial, to monitor progress towards agreed goals

Ensuring integrity and transparency to maintain the trust of stakeholders
