Essential Criteria:
- Law Degree or alternatively 3 years demonstrable full-time experience representing clients at social security appeals gained in the last 5 years
- An understanding of the issues around poverty and the impact of poverty on individuals and families.
- An excellent working knowledge and understanding of how the welfare benefits system operates specifically the legislative framework regarding social security appeals.
Desirable Criteria
- Candidates have completed a recognised adviser training programme. e.g. a programme provided by Citizens Advice (ATP) or the Law Centre (WRAP).
