Adopt NI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage and develop our counselling and wraparound therapeutic support services. This role relates directly to our services for adults linked to the Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses, and their pathways and practices in Northern Ireland (MBMLW).

Adopt NI is an independent registered charity established in 1989.  Our main priority is to support any adult impacted by the lifelong journey of adoption or separation from their family of origin (birth mothers, adopted adults, adopters, and siblings).

Some Key elements of the Role:

  • Coordinating and developing a varied programme of therapeutic support groups and tailored 1:1 support where more appropriate, this includes online and face to face.
  • Oversee the delivery of trauma-informed wraparound therapeutic and counselling services, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Manage counselling waiting lists and oversee client allocation. (Note that this is a service management role and will not directly deliver counselling to clients or clinical supervision of project sessional staff).
  • Ensure counselling and therapeutic services comply with relevant professional bodies SOPs and ANI policies.
