Terra Nova Productions seeks new Board Members!

Set up ten years ago by a Andrea Montgomery, Delhi-born bilingual Canadian, Terra Nova has just finished celebrating its 10th Anniversary, and has just secured a major EU funded tender to deliver a large scale intercultural Midsummer Night’s Dream.  The project will offer 650 opportunities for involvement and will draw members of the community in to a professional production created by 30 artists drawn from Northern Ireland and the world.

Terra Nova has run interesting projects in Hong Kong, Macau, Iran, Greenland, Canada and Egypt. It has made a name for itself developing a new Northern Irish cannon, developing 12 new intercultural plays in the last five years, and staging the enormous Belfast Tempest for the Shakespeare 400 Anniversary.

This is a unique opportunity to join an artistic Board when we have 17 months of financial security in which to plan the next phase of the company’s development from a position of security.

We particularly wish to increase representation from Northern Ireland’s foreign-born residents on the Board.  We would value expertise in intercultural and artistic policy, backgrounds in legal, HR, lobbying, arts management, fundraising and strategic marketing, but more than anything, we are seeking excellent strategic minds.  A good sense of humour would also be appreciated.

You will be asked to commit to 6 meetings per annum, and to occasional participation on at least one subcommittee.  You will have the opportunity to attend shows and events, participate in masterclasses and workshops, and will be joining an active and friendly Board.
