Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Part time 14 hours per week (to include Wednesdays)
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: GBP 21,163 - £22,127 per annum pro rata


Could you coordinate casework services, supporting our International Family Tracing team in Northern Ireland? 

We are recruiting for a Service Coordinator within our International Family Tracing team based in Belfast.

As part of the Restoring Family Links team, this role has responsibility for coordinating and delivering quality casework services in Northern Ireland 

Reporting to the International Family Tracing Service Manager and within a peer group of Service Co-ordinators across the United Kingdom, this role will manage the service delivery and contribute to the service development, as part of the wider national refugee support and restoring family links team

For people in crisis, as a result of their migration status, in need of protection, displaced and often having experienced family loss and separation our Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links team will deliver on our unique position and responsibility as part a truly global humanitarian organisation, present at every stage on the migratory trail. 

We will do this by mobilising the power of humanity through three distinct vehicles for change - advocacy, service delivery and by creating the right environment. We will engage with our service users and use their experience and evidence to inform our development and delivery and will seek out opportunities to build productive alliances across the UK, wider movement and beyond to enable delivery on our mission at the earliest opportunity. 


The role might be for you if

  • You're experienced in Casework management delivery, co-ordination, supervision and motivation of volunteers and you can contribute to the development and achievement of operation plans. You will understand how to monitor and improve service quality for the benefits of users through active consultation.
  • You know the issues facing asylum seekers and refugees in the Northern Ireland, personal experience of migration and/or family separation due to conflict or natural disaster would be desirable.
  • You're a great communicator with the ability to adapt your communication based on the audience. You will be IT literate and can use email, word processing, database and spreadsheet packages. You will also have experience of using databases and casework management tools with meticulous attention to detail.
  • You have an awareness of current affairs, including current and past conflict situations and a general knowledge and understanding or experience of policies relating to safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults. 
  • You're a team player; you can build strong and effective alliances and relationships within what can sometimes be a high-pressure environment.
