Carers NI is Northern Ireland’s leading charity advocating for unpaid carers, striving to create meaningful change through policy, public affairs, and campaigning. Our mission is to improve the lives of carers by providing vital support, including advice services, peer support, educational events, and our newly launched Together We Care programme. We work closely with political leaders, government bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure carers' voices are heard and their needs are met.
About the Role
As the Public Affairs and Resources Manager for Northern Ireland, you will lead policy development and public affairs function including leading on strategy and implementation representing Carers NI’s interests to policymakers and the media. You will also manage our new Together We Care programme and oversee a team, ensuring impactful advocacy, building partnerships, and effectively managing resources to advance support for unpaid carers. Remote and flexible working. There will be some travel throughout Northern Ireland and within the UK, involving occasional overnight stays and weekend work.
About You
You are a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong understanding of Northern Ireland’s political landscape. You have a track record in policy, public affairs, and media relations, along with experience managing projects and teams. Your excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills will empower you to drive forward Carers NI’s mission, advocating for carers and ensuring their voices are heard.
