About the Service
Millburn Close is a 24-hour supported living service for adults with complex and enduring mental health needs. Based in a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of Knockbracken Healthcare Park, the service includes a mix of self-contained flats and bungalows for 26 individuals, along with shared communal areas, activity spaces, and a team office.
Our aim is to support each individual to live independently and with dignity, while providing person-centred assistance around their recovery, social inclusion, and emotional wellbeing.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Project Worker at Millburn, your days will be meaningful and diverse. You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering personalised support to people living in their own homes within the service. You’ll:
- Support with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Provide emotional support and encourage engagement with therapeutic and social activities
- Support individuals to attend appointments (e.g. GP, community mental health team, pharmacists)
- Facilitate or help run group activities like art, cooking, gardening, and wellness sessions
- Help individuals maintain and build connections within their community
- Monitor medication compliance and assist with medication where appropriate
- Complete detailed records and work closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality care
- Play an active role in team meetings, supervision, and service development
This is not a personal care role - our focus is on enabling people to maintain independence and live fulfilling lives.
What Makes Millburn Unique?
🏡 A calm, community-focused environment - Millburn feels more like a neighbourhood than a care facility. Each individual lives in their own flat or bungalow, with freedom and independence, but with the support of a consistent, values-led staff team.
🎨 Creativity and connection - Whether it’s running a quiz night, organising a trip to Portrush, or supporting someone to attend an art group, you’ll help bring meaning and routine to people’s lives.
👥 Strong multi-disciplinary links - We work closely with Community Mental Health Teams, inpatient units, and Care Managers to ensure holistic, recovery-focused support.
🌱 Team stability and progression - Many of our staff stay with us long-term because of the positive environment and the opportunities for learning, growth, and support.
Who We Support
We support adults aged between 18 and 76, living with complex mental health conditions including psychosis, depression, and substance use. Each person is unique and is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
The people we support value independence, friendship, structure, and being part of a community. Our team is there to help enable all of this - and more.
Who We’re Looking For

- Compassionate, patient, and non-judgemental
- Organised, dependable, and calm under pressure
- A team player who can also work independently
- Resilient, with a sense of humour and a strong ethical compass
