The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff members:

Role:  Project Officers Newry, Belfast & Ballymena

 

REF: 20-037-PO-SES-WEB

 

Cedar is contracted by the Department of the Economy to provide Disability Support for Participants and Training Providers engaged in Training for Success and ApprenticeshipsNI. Project Officers are required to:

  • provide a flexible range of person-centered assistance and supports to young people with disabilities engaged in Training for Success and ApprenticeshipsNI programmes.
  • work with Training Providers to enhance the support required by participants with disabilities to help them achieve the best possible outcomes

 

 

Hours:  Contracts available between 14 – 30 hour per week (Successful candidates to agree hours upon appointment)

 

Contract:  Initially to 31st August 2020 with possibility of extension

 

Location: Posts available in 3 locations:

Cedar Foundation, An Storas, Ballybot House, 28 Cornmarket, Newry, BT35 8G

 Cedar Foundation, 1 Ravenhill Reach Close, Ormeau Embankment, Belfast, BT6 8RB

  Cedar Foundation, 1a Woodside Road Industrial Estate, Woodside Road, Ballymena, BT42 4QJ

 

Salary:   4 point incremental scale starting on £22,462 per annum pro rata per annum

 

Essential Criteria: 

· RQF Level 6 qualification (e.g. Bachelor Degree) or equivalent level professional qualification and

· Minimum of one years paid experience in delivering training or providing learning support

OR

· Minimum RQF level 4 or equivalent and

  • Minimum of 3 years paid experience as above in delivering training or providing learning support

AND

  • Ability to support people with disabilities
  • Ability to build good rapport with young people.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
  • Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment.*

 

*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.
