The Project Manager leads a team which provides the best possible care and support for people living within a supported housing service. The postholder will deliver an outstanding service which enables people to stay healthy, be safe, and live well. They will lead and develop high-quality regulated support services for individuals with learning disabilities and other support needs. The Project Manager will ensure that the people supported by the service have their tenancy rights protected, are supported to achieve their life potential, and are included in making decisions about their lives at every available opportunity no matter their level of disability. The postholder will work within relevant legislation, operational budgets, standards, regionals guidance and organisational policies and procedures. They will contribute to the Christian ministry and mission of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland (PCI) through the delivery of the duties outlined. Willowbrook is a Supported Living service which currently offers support and care for 9 individuals who have disabilities.

Salary Scale: £42,339 -£48,178 per annum

Hours: 18.5 hours per week worked flexibly, including evening and weekend working

Responsible to: Regional Care Manager

CRITERIA

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential

1. One of the professional qualifications below:

(a) a professional social work qualification and registered on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) register, without condition; or

(b) a first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register; or

and

2. A minimum of four years’ work experience in health and social care setting with people with a learning disability. At least two years of this experience must be in a relevant operational management capacity in a health and social care setting.

3. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (Adult Management)

and

4. a minimum of five years practice experience in any health and social care setting which must include at least two years relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting.

5. Experience of working to improve service quality

6. Experience of formal staff supervision and appraisal procedures

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Essential

3 years’ experience of working at Senior Care Assistant level or above within a residential/supported living setting
Previous experience of line managing or supervision of staff
Experience of the administration of medication
Experience of using Microsoft office
Experience of using word processing/emails
Experience of Quality Assurance Monitoring

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Essential

Willing to work within and uphold the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland
Willing to adhere to the NISCC Code of Practice for Social Care Workers
Available for flexible working and to do sleeping in duty if required
Access to a car for work purposes
