Playgroup Leader (Maternity Cover)

Ballygawley Early Years Playgroup is committed to delivering excellent outcomes for children, in a setting where children are happy, safe and able to reach their potential. The Leader, along with supporting staff is responsible for developing and maintaining a safe and stimulating play environment and developing opportunities which encourage children’s social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development through play. The Playgroup Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Playgroup to ensure safe, stimulating play in a safe, caring and welcoming environment for children and their families. 

A QCF Level 5 Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development / BA in Early Childhood Studies or equivalent qualification is essential, along with 2 years previous paid experience working in an early years setting. Certificates in Safeguarding Children / Child Protection, First Aid and Food Hygiene are desirable, along with previous experience in a leadership role and knowledge of the Highscope approach.
