We have these vacancies within our Family Support and Self Directed Support Services in Lisburn:

Personal Assistants

£8.50 per hour

Must be available weekdays from 2:30pm - 5:30pm

Shifts are as and when required. Contracted hours may be available for those able to commit to regular and consistent support. Support hours will mostly be between 2-10pm Monday to Friday. Some weekend work will be required and flexibility to do so would be expected.

You will support adults and/or children with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autistic spectrum condition to take part in activities which meet their individual needs and aspirations. We provide social opportunities and a range of activities such as arts and crafts, cookery, swimming, sports, eating out, accompanying the people we support to the cinema or soft play area, bowling, and going to the shops. We pride ourselves on being a person centred service and therefore our activities are planned around the likes, interests and abilities of the people we support.

Do you enjoy working with children and young people? We believe play is the best form of learning for all our children and young people. We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and friendly staff to join us on weekdays between 2pm and 5.30pm to help out at our after-schools activities programme and be a part of helping to shape the futures of the children and young people with a learning disability that we support. 

We also have opportunities to support adults on a 1-1 basis to enjoy everyday activities such as going for a coffee, going to the cinema, working out at the gym and meeting their friends. This can be weekdays up to 10pm and occasional weekends. 

If you have experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autistic spectrum condition and a full driving licence and access to a car insured for business purposes* to transport people supported we would like to talk to you.

• Experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autistic spectrum condition
• A full driving licence and access to a car insured for business purposes* to transport people supported

* must be available either Tuesday or Wednesday 2:30pm – 5:30pm
