Macmillan Partnership Manager - Northern Ireland
Permanent
Full Time (34.5 hours per week)
£42,000 - £47,000 FTE

Are you looking for a new opportunity to use your expert knowledge of the health and care system and your transferable skills to help improve the lives of people living with cancer? Cancer care is changing and this is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference.

Macmillan’s ambition is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer, and to inspire millions of others to do the same. To meet the needs of a growing number of people affected by cancer, it is essential for us to continue to develop integrated services in partnership with Health and Social Care, Local Authorities/Councils and other third sector organisations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person who has experience of working at a senior level within the health and care system to join our team. Have you ever considered what you could offer the charitable sector?

The role:
Reporting to the Strategic Partnership Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Macmillan's Strategy in Northern Ireland.

In this role you will be responsible for the co-ordination of Macmillan’s strategic and operational relationships with partners and act as their main point of contact.

Your role will support and guide partner organisations to develop new proposals and continuously improve the quality of cancer services (both Macmillan and non-Macmillan). You will need to demonstrate experience of managing and implementing complex change across a range of organisations and professions, and a demonstrable understanding  of service improvement and system redesign.

The person:

Collaborative working is vitally important to Macmillan, therefore you will need to have experience of working in partnership across the Health and Social Care Sector including influencing, negotiating and managing key partnerships and contracts. Experience in relationship management, matrix working, analysing data, delivering outcomes and managing budgets through the grant system, will be essential for the effective delivery of this role.

You will use your management and leadership skills to manage, develop, coach and support the Partnership Quality Leads to continuously implement and improve the quality of existing and new cancer services.

This is your chance to have a real influence and impact by playing a key role in the enhancement and development of cancer services and ultimately help more people feel supported, informed and better able to cope.

We commit to actively developing you in your career. You will also be eligible for several benefits which include private medical insurance, life assurance, pension, generous leave, and interest free loans for season tickets and gym membership.
