Job Title: Inner North Neighbourhood Renewal Coordinator
Salary: £22,443
Hours: 36 hours per week
Location: North Belfast
Pension: 7% Employer contribution 1% Employee contribution
Tenure: Funded until March 2021
Essential Criteria
- 3 years’ experience of:
- Working in urban regeneration in either a social, education, economic, health or community setting
OR
- Working across sectors and success in securing project funding
OR
- Demonstrate experience in generic development support work, with specific reference to committee secretariat work, inter-sectoral and inter-agency liaison, research management, funding negotiation and project development/management
- Educational attainment to Diploma level in a relevant discipline (e.g. social science; community development; community relations)
- Experience of communicating effectively with key stakeholders
- Experience of networking to help build inter-agency relationships with stakeholders in the community and public sector
- Experience of providing secretariat support at committee level
- Experience of planning, organising and implementing project plans and policies
The following will be asked at interview:
- Demonstration of a high level of professional integrity and appreciation of confidentiality in working with clients, community organisations and citizens
- Experience of analysing, updating and maintaining database records for performance and engagement
- Experience of writing reports / case studies
- Demonstration of excellent presentation skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Willingness and ability to travel and work throughout all of North Belfast (and beyond), with all sections of the community
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of community development support work in area(s) of poverty and disadvantage
- Experience of sourcing funding for community programmes
- Third level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. social science; community development; community relations)
- Previous experience of organising and implementing Government policy
- Experience of working in a complex social environment
- Previous use of database/spreadsheet applications to evidence and produce reports
- Knowledge of the Inner North Neighbourhood Renewal Area and the groups / organisations working within
