Growing Resilience Project Officer (Derry/Londonderry)

Funded by the National Lottery through the Community Fund, this role will deliver on the Growing Resilience project aims and objectives in new geographical areas, primarily the Derry City and Strabane Council areas and neighbouring Council areas.

Location: Derry/Londonderry with office location to be agreed.
Salary: £26,735, pro rata
Contract Type: Fixed term to 1st September 2021
Hours: 2.5 days per week (18.75 hrs)

Social Farms & Gardens supports, represents and promotes thousands of grass roots projects across the UK that use farming and gardening as a way to transform lives and improve health and well-being.This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a two-year programme called Growing Resilience: Digging Deeper, designed to improve the long-term resilience of geographically dispersed growing groups and contribute to the sustainability of vibrant local communities.

As Growing Resilience Project Officer, you will have previous experience of working in a community development role and be someone who enjoys facilitating communications and networking between dispersed groups and delivering workshops/training to help build capacity and skills within communities. The role also requires someone with excellent organisational and IT skills to maintain centralised database records and monitor project delivery against agreed targets.
