ROLE

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice (NICH) is currently seeking to recruit GP cover to share in our medical rota.  At NICH we care for children and families with a palliative care need. Unlike adult palliative care, we are part of the team that looks after the child and family right from point of diagnosis, through life including symptom management, at end of life and continue into bereavement support for the family.

You will lead the medical decision making process, acting at all times in the best interests of the child and through discussions with parents, the registered nursing team in Horizon House and be supported by the wider medical team. The rota would be approximately 1:8 with weekend and night-time cover.
