Southern Area Hospice Services are looking for experienced, self-motivated and dynamic Fundraising Officers to support and develop our existing Fundraising portfolio.

FUNDRAISING OFFICER POSITIONS

Ref: FO18/19

£24,000 – 28,000 – 35 hours per week

This role supports the Hospice in delivering its services to the local community by working as part of a team to generate significant income in line with budgets and to actively participate in identifying new opportunities and strategies to enhance income generation to enable the Hospice to grow its services to best meet the future needs of the local community. 

Working with both the general public and corporates you will use a wide range of skills including communication, administration, and promotion to ensure a strong positive public image of the Hospice. You must be confident and skilled in all aspects of communication tailored to a range of audiences of varying sizes.

We are looking for individuals with a third level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, e.g. marketing, plus 2 year’s relevant experience in a fundraising, marketing, sales or PR environment or a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in a fundraising, marketing, sales or PR environment.

You must be able to achieve targets set and initiate fundraising campaigns and events which can be delivered in the community setting.  You must be an excellent communicator, highly motivated and have the ability to make presentations.  We are looking for individuals who have a willingness to work productively as a team member as well as on your own which are critical to success in this role.  Strong IT knowledge and skills, use of Microsoft office and social media are essential.

You must be flexible to work evenings and weekends when required.  A full clean driving licence and access to a car are essential.  CV’s will not be accepted.
