What's the role about?
The post holder will work with colleagues across RSPB to help ensure the fundraising team is fully supported, internal databases are updated and maintained as required. Key activities will include:
Compiling and submitting timely and accurate grant claims to funders. Also providing high quality customer care, ensuring funders, donors, and partners have an excellent experience, safeguarding the RSPB’s reputation. The role will also involve providing administrative support to the fundraising team to ensure they are able to deliver the team’s work programme and producing progress reports.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience
- A-level education or equivalent
- Good working knowledge of Excel and financial systems and information sources
- An understanding of and application of project management principles
- An ability to interpret complex information and communicate it simply to target audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence
- A demonstrated ability to organise oneself effectively and to prioritise work in order to get the right things done
- Experience of collating, analysing and presenting complex financial information
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience
• Sales and or/fundraising background.
• Understanding of charity sector and associated fundraising techniques.
• Knowledge of and/or passion for conservation and the natural world.
This is a permanent, full time role for 37.5 hours per week.
