Positive Futures is Northern Ireland’s leading learning disability, acquired brain injury and autistic spectrum condition charity. We currently employ around 600 people throughout the island of Ireland.

The Lisburn Family Support Service support young people aged 5-18 with a learning disability or who are on the autistic spectrum. We are looking for:

Family Service Manager

Salary of up to £28,718 per annum pro rata

Part time 15 hours per week, permanent position

 

The successful candidate will assist in the management and development of the services.

What we need you to have:

  1. Recognised Social Services or Health Service Professional Qualification, OR At least 2 years’ experience working with people with a learning disability 
  2. 1 years’ experience of assessment, development and implementation of Care Plans / Person Centred Support Plans for children and/or young people
  3. 1 years’ experience of supervising staff to include objective setting, supervision, coaching and performance management OR add one additional years’ experience to the requirements of Criteria 1 and 2
  4. 1 years’ experience of working with families of people supported
  5. Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car insured for business purposes

Hours and Working Pattern

The hours of work are 15 hours per week, the working pattern is to be mutually agreed.

 

Holidays     

The holiday year runs 1 April – 31 March. The above packages are inclusive of statutory holidays. Your holiday entitlement will increase by one day for each complete annual leave year worked to the maximum shown above. Entitlements are shown based on full time hours. These will be adjusted on a pro rata basis for part time staff.

 

Pension   

If eligible (based on your age and earnings at the end of the pay period), you will be automatically enrolled in a pension scheme provided by Positive Futures. If you would like to opt out, please contact the HR Department.

 

If you are eligible, Positive Futures will contribute 4% of your salary to the auto enrolment scheme which is dependent upon you making a personal contribution of 5% of your basic salary, which is deducted from salary.

Staff Care

We all have periods in our lives when our psychological wellbeing is at risk. Positive Futures staff can speak in complete confidence to trained counsellors about anything they need to. They provide a confidential and non-judgemental counselling service.

 

Sick Pay

We believe that when our staff are ill, they should take the time they need to recover, and should not feel financially pressured into returning to work before they are ready. Staff who have been with us for 6 months are entitled to 2 weeks at full pay. This entitlement increases with service length to 8 weeks full pay and 4 weeks half pay.

 

 

Training & Support   

All members of staff will receive induction, relevant training, regular Person Centred Supervision and Appraisal
