My Life My Way Volunteers provide support to older people with Dementia and their carers as they make decisions about future care and social inclusion options. We have opportunities in Antrim, Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Newtownabbey, Larne, Ballyclare
My life My Way provides support to older people with dementia and their carers in the Belfast and Northern Trust areas.
Our dedicated My Life My Way volunteers;
- Reduce isolation and loneliness
- Support older people living with dementia and their careres – signposting to community supports and other entitlements
- Build Confidence – helping with care provision, improved personal choice, control and Influence over decisions about their care as they recognise their dignity they deserve as they continue to live life their way less lonely.
This volunteer role is flexible to suit your availability (Daytime, evenings, weekends).
No previous knowledge or experience is required to access this role as tailored training is provided. All out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
