Young at Art is recruiting for the post of Education & Engagement Assistant.
Young at Art is Northern Ireland’s leading children’s arts organisation and producer of the annual Belfast Children’s Festival. It is a small but busy charity (approximate turnover £480k).
Young at Art’s Education & Engagement Assistant will provide key support to the Education & Engagement Coordinator in the delivery of Young at Art’s Education & Engagement programme.
You will assist the Education & Engagement Coordinator to ensure the high artistic quality of our projects and ensure they are in line with our child-led, process-based approach. You will oversee the administration and logistics of various projects, maintain project documentation, support project grant applications, reporting and evaluation and other related administrative tasks.
You will help the Education & Engagement Coordinator further develop the programme offer and help generate income by encouraging schools/groups to buy tickets to festival activity.
This is a new role is offered on a fixed-term, part-time basis (20 hours per week) from 1 September 2025 to 30 June 2027.
Funding for this post is received from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation with additional funds from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council.
