The Linen Hall Library has secured funding to deliver the groundbreaking extraORDINARYwomen heritage project to digitise and interpret our collections. We are seeking applications from dynamic individuals for the role of Education & Outreach Officer.

Working as part of a small project team, the successful candidate will deliver the education and outreach programme of extraORDINARYwomen: Women in Northern Ireland since 1965.

The Education and Outreach Officer will explore the project themes through the delivery of a programme of activities with community groups and schools. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, Community Advisory Panel, Archivist, and Curator to meet the project’s aims and objectives.

The Education and Outreach Officer will be a team player, with the ability to work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will be methodical in approach, work well under time pressures, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Applicants should note this role involves the retrieval, handling and reshelving of materials, and the ability to undertake safe manual handling is essential.

As this role involves working with children and young people it will be subject to access checks.
