We are currently seeking to recruit a Domestic Violence Support Worker (with Child Worker responsibilities).
The successful candidate will provide emotional and practical support for women and their children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. This includes working with women and children living in refuge, moving on from refuge, and living in the community. Work with children in refuge will include organising activities for groups of children in a playroom setting whilst also providing relevant and tailored support to individual children.
This is a permanent role based in North Belfast. Starting salary is £26,409 per annum.
Due to the level of contact with vulnerable women and children, the lawful recruitment of females for this/these post/s falls within the exemption stated in Article 10 (2b&e) of the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976.
