The Quaker Service Teenage Programme has evolved and grown over many years, providing support for those most vulnerable and in need within our community. It now incorporates two key areas of work:
1. Our established Mounteens Project delivering intensive and broad ranging support to disadvantaged young people (in the 13-25 age range) from North & West Belfast, through a co-produced modular programme.
2. More recently, we have resourced and grown an evolving project area that seeks to bring about real change in our society, by giving voice to our young people and enabling them to be a positive force for change in their own communities.
This Deputy Manager role will have specific responsibility for planning and delivering our Mounteens Project, including the management of two part-time staff, but will also be expected to support planning and delivery across the overall Teenage Programme.
A knowledge of Youth or Group Work planning and delivery is essential. The individual will spend the majority of his/her time managing and delivering projects involving young people. In many instances, this will involve face-to-face work with groups of young people including project-based work.
