MAP would request applications from qualified counselling supervisors to work with counsellors - supporting victims of domestic abuse. We would be particularly keen to receive applications from supervisors versed in gender, trauma and domestic abuse

 

MAP provides a range of services to victims of domestic abuse counselling service to adults living in Northern Ireland. 

MAP currently has vacancies for Counselling Supervisors. This would be to supervise counsellors, once a month for 1.5 hours. 

What we can offer Supervisors:

[1] The opportunity to provide clinical supervision 

[2] The opportunity to supervise counsellors who are working with clients from all backgrounds presenting with diverse symptomology.

[3] The opportunity to supervise short term, medium and longer term counselling work with clients. Unlike many agencies, MAP do not restrict the number of sessions with clients to fewer than ten, but seek to provide as much time as is reasonably needed for clients to address their issues.

[4] Attendance on Continuing Professional Development courses that are held throughout the year at no charge.

[5] To be part of a team that is supported through a system of mentoring and supervision and by a dedicated Board and management structure
