Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people experiencing emotional crisis? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at The WELL-Bean (Crisis) Café in Newry.

PIPS Hope & Support is currently recruiting for a Counselling Coordinator to play a vital role in Northern Ireland’s first mental health crisis café. This service is part of the Towards Zero Suicide initiative and offers a safe, non-clinical space for individuals in distress to receive immediate, person-centred support.

As Counselling Coordinator, you’ll:

  • Support individuals in emotional crisis through counselling and clinical assessment.

  • Work alongside and mentor our dedicated team of trained volunteers.

  • Promote a welcoming, therapeutic space every weekend.

  • Be part of an innovative and forward-thinking mental health support model

This is a part-time role (15 hours per week), with flexible weekend/evening shifts and a salary of £32,000–£35,000 pro rata, plus an excellent benefits package including healthcare, pension, and paid training.

At PIPS Hope & Support, we put people first – our clients and our team. We’re proud to hold Investors in People accreditation and offer a culture where you can grow, be supported, and make meaningful impact.

If you hold a recognised counselling qualification, are BACP/IACP/UKCP accredited, and want to be part of a compassionate, responsive service that helps people in real-time, we’d love to hear from you.
