Communications Officer - 19/033/CO-BA/WEB

Purpose of the Job:
To provide support to the organisation in delivery of the Communications Strategy to include updating Cedar’s website, social media channels and print and online marketing materials. To support Cedar’s Services and User Forum in relation to local promotional activities and events.
Hours: 25 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Balmoral TRC, 1 Upper Lisburn Road, Belfast, BT10 0GW
Salary: 3 point incremental scale starting on £21,693 per annum pro rata
Essential:
- Minimum RQF level 6/Degree or equivalent level professional qualification
AND
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience supporting communications, marketing or PR in a voluntary sector organisation.
OR
- Minimum RQF level 4 or equivalent
AND
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience as above
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
- Experience in use of social media platforms for professional purposes (Facebook, Twitter)
- Knowledge of fundraising activity in the charity sector
- Be a current or former Cedar Service User, Volunteer or Staff member
- Hold a full current driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes*
*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.
