The goal of this post is to ensure that Twisel Lodge is maintained in a clean and orderly condition. The cleaner will work as part of the staff team to deliver high quality service for our residents and maintain all appropriate Health and Safety

 

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

 

Job Title: Cleaner                                                      Ref:     20-108-CL-TL-WEB

 

As the cleaner at Twisel Lodge and as part of a team you’ll help to create a warm and homely environment that enables us to meet each resident’s needs. Keeping the home clean and safe is no small task, which is why the role of cleaner is so important. The variety of cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean, tidy and welcoming environment. This means you’ll have a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all the staff working to support them.

Position

 

Hours:            30 hours per week

Salary:            £9.05 per hour

Contract:        Temporary - requirement reviewed periodically during the Covid–19 pandemic.

Location:        Twisel Lode Church Road Holywood

 

Essential:      

·        Previous experience of cleaning/ housekeeping duties

·        Numeracy & literacy (English language)

·        Experience of cleaning/ housekeeping duties

·        Knowledge of cleaning supplies

·        Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

·        Awareness of infection prevention and control guidance.

·        Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work schedules.

·        Good communication skills.

 

Desirable:      

·        Cleaning experience of working within a similar environment

·        Specialist training related to this post    

·        Understanding of responsibilities under HSAW 1978 NI Order, COSHH, infection Control
