Children's Service Manager
Voice of Young People In Care (VOYPIC)
Job role:
The Children’s Services Manager will provide vision, professional leadership, management and direction for our services to children. The post holder will drive continuous improvement and innovation through the support and supervision of the Area Team Leaders, promoting high quality standards of service to children and young people in and leaving care in line with our commitments and contracts. The post holder will be a member of VOYPIC’s leadership team and will act as the registered manager for services.
Main Purpose:
- To lead the day to day operational functions of the service provision To lead and oversee the delivery of consistent high quality services to the care experienced children and young people
- Accountable for ensuring that the safety and protection of children and young people is practised and understood by all staff and volunteers in accordance with VOYPIC’s policies and procedures and relevant legislative policy
- Ensure that key deliverables on quality of our services, on employee’s wellbeing, recruitment and retention and on the performance of each of the Area Teams are met and exceeded.
- To drive organisational , team, and individual learning, inspiring and developing innovative relationship based practice
- Provide strong and effective budget management and insight, ensuring that costs are well managed and objectives are exceeded in order to sustain the continued investment in the service, and to drive growth.
- Develop effective relationships at all levels across all relevant stakeholders, Trusts, internal colleagues, other professionals, regulators, children and young people
- To represent VOYPIC and its members at appropriate forums and working groups Ensure adherence to programme objectives, targets and reporting requirements to relevant funders
- To deputise for the Chief Executive, in areas of management and governance, as agreed with the Chief Executive, and Trustee Board
