Child Residential Worker

We are currently recruiting for Child Residential Workers whose purpose is to provide the highest possible standard of support and care to children and/or young people with disabilities and challenging behaviour whom reside within our Children’s Home. Our model of care is social pedagogy.

Essential Criteria:            

• QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care OR willingness to attain within 12 months if appointed.
• Basic Numeracy and literacy (English language) skills
• Registered or Agreeable to applying with the N. Ireland Social Care Council
• At least six months’ experience working with children OR adults with a learning disability and complex needs.
• Be flexible to work on a rota basis that may include unsocial hours and weekends

Desirable Criteria:           

• Degree level qualification in Health/Social Sciences/Youth Work/Social Work
• Experience in education or health & social care setting
• Knowledge of principles of curative education or social therapy based on anthroposophical ideals.
• Awareness of the ethos of Camphill Movement and principles of Rudolf Steiner
