£9 per hour plus mileage, pension up to 6%

Job Purpose

The role will be to provide Health and Well-Being services, in a sensitive and nondiscriminatory manner, to parents and families with children under 4 living within the Bangor area.  

The post holder will play a key role in supporting parents to make informed decisions about their own and their children’s health and well-being. This will include both antenatal and post-natal home visiting, in addition to the delivery of programmes within the Sure Start area. The post holder will develop strong partnership links with core health visiting and midwifery services. An ability to adapt to change is essential as is the flexibility and a willingness to work across all Bangor Sure Start services, as necessary.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of QCF Level 3, Advanced Diploma or Higher Qualification in:
  • Child Care
  • Education
  • Early Years
• Minimum of 1 years paid/ unpaid employment working with children or families
• 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C and above including English Language
• Experience in record keeping, report writing and ability to communicate with families
• Clean drivers licence and access to transport/ access with business insurance to transport to meet role requirements. (this final criteria will be waived in the case of an applicant with a disability prohibiting driving)

Desirable Criteria

1 years experience of working with families at both antenatal & postnatal stage
