Carers Support Outreach Worker

Carers Trust is the largest UK wide charity for the nation’s 7 million unpaid carers. Together with our Network Partners, we provide support, information, advice and services for children, young people and adults caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend. The number of carers is a growing issue, with 3 in 5 of us likely to become a carer at some point in our lifetime. Carers save the UK economy over £119bn every year and act as a main support to our stretched health and social care systems.

We are currently looking for a Home-Based Carers Support Outreach Worker on a Fixed Term Contract to May 2019 with possibility of an extension.

The main aspects of the post include providing information, support and activities for adult carers, working in partnership with other statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations, engage and consult with young carers, organise and deliver local events for adult carers and represent the organisation in various meetings.

The successful candidate will have experience of commitment to partnership working, experience of successful project coordination and experience of running group meetings and training workshops.
