The St Comgalls Business Development and Marketing Officer will develop strategic partners and business relationships on behalf of a Falls Community council while at the same time undertake a marketing role involving the creation of marketing based initiatives that target specific clients and users according to established client and users demographics.

Falls Community Council is a community development company based in west Belfast. FCC have recently completed the £7.2m redevelopment of the old St Comgalls School as an exciting new social enterprise which hosts rented office space and has major conference and event spaces.

 

Duties:

1. Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services.

2. Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.

3. Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs.

4. Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients.

5. Selling St Comgalls event space to new and existing clients.

6. Attending conferences and events to build relationships with both commercial and community partners and staying up to date with new trends.

7. Provide information, reports, and updates throughout the course of the employment contract.

8. Perform such other duties that may be requested by senior management team.

 

We are seeking a person with:

Proven minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a business development & marketing management role

Proven experience of working in the community or other relevant sectors such as the hospitality sector.

Proven experience of developing and managing key relationships and partnerships

Proven experience of organising high quality community led activities.

Experience of reporting and delivering against a specific set of KPIs.

Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person with individuals and groups, and present issues and ideas in an accessible format

Proven excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office or equivalent including Outlook)

Proven ability to work as part of a team, and own on initiative

Proven experience of working within an area of high deprivation.

A valid clean driving license & access to car
