Board of Trustees Members

Parenting NI deliver a range of high quality services for parents including:

• Parenting programmes
• Help and information via a freephone helpline, web chat, online resources, Parenting NI app, podcasts and Parenting Week
• Consulting with parents on various issues in order to influence government policy, planning and service delivery
• Carrying out research with parents and using the findings to advocate for parents
• Family Support Services – including home visiting in Belfast and Southern Trust and National Lottery Community Fund projects Families Together and Dads Project
• Employee Wellbeing Service
• Training for Practitioners – including OCN Level 4 Working with Parents

Parenting NI’s Board of Trustees has responsibility for strategic planning, finance, policy and procedures and employment issues by actively participating in and contributing to the effective governance of Parenting NI, ensuring its staff, trustees and stakeholders own Parenting NI’s vision and goals.

We are looking for new members who have the skills, knowledge and/or experience in at least one of the following:-

• Finance
• Human Resources
• Strategic Planning
• Legal
• Parenting NI Operations especially in the area of User Representation, Parenting and/or Family Support

Board of Trustees meetings take place 4 times per year.  Additional commitment may be required for:-

• Sub Committee meetings
• Strategic Planning meetings
• Governance Training (bi-annually)
• Interviewing
