“At Positive Futures, we know we’re the best - best for the people we support, and best for our staff. Join us and transform their future – and yours!”

Our Approach:

“The Life I Want” – empowering adults with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autism to have choice and independence to live the life they want now and in the future.

At Positive Futures, we believe everything is possible. We don’t look for reasons why something can’t be done. We find a reason why it can. This is why our services make a huge difference to the people and families we support.

We challenge outdated ways of thinking. We identify gaps in service provision. We act creatively. We work in partnership. Most of our established services first started in this way.

The Role:

Put simply, your job is to support children and young people with an autistic spectrum condition to take part in activities which meet their needs and aspirations. To help you to do this, you will:

• receive a full and paid induction

• spend time getting to know the children and young people you are supporting.

• learn how best to support them • work as part of a dedicated team to provide support.

You don’t need formal qualifications but you do need to be kind, patient, and have a sense of fun.

To apply for this role, you MUST have:

1. Six months’ experience of supporting children / young people with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autistic spectrum condition in recreational activities in a paid or voluntary capacity.

2. Experience of planning, organising and implementing activities for children and young people.

3. The ability to travel independently. Positive Futures defines this as being a car driver and holder of a full and valid UK Drivers Licence* and having access to a form of transport which will permit the Job Holder to meet the responsibilities of the role.
