Archive Assistants

Linen Hall Library

The Linen Hall Library has secured funding to deliver the groundbreaking extraORDINARYwomen heritage project to digitise and interpret our collections. We are seeking applications from dynamic individuals for the roles of Archive Assistants.

Working as part of a small project team, the successful candidate will provide an archive service within the delivery of extraORDINARYwomen: Women in Northern Ireland since 1965.

The Archive Assistant will be responsible for sorting, listing and data input, and the archival packing and storing of materials which have been identified for inclusion in the project.  

The Archive Assistant will be a team player with the ability to work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will be methodical in approach, work well under time pressures, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Applicants should note this role involves retrieval, handling and reshelving of materials, and the ability to undertake safe manual handling is essential.
