About the role

Our advocates enable people with dementia and those who care for them to have a voice in the decisions made regarding the provision of personal health and social care services to meet their individual needs. The successful candidate will provide advocacy support within the community throughout the Belfast Trust area.  

About you

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of dementia as well as an understanding of the principles of advocacy and the rights of people with dementia and their carers.

Your ability to assess client needs along with the understanding of the need for client confidentially is essential to providing a valuable and worthwhile service. You will be highly skilled in communicating (orally and in writing) and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent organisational and time management skills in order to manage your caseload of clients effectively.
