Volunteering

Administration Volunteer (Mid Ulster)

MS Society NI

Administration
.Using their interpersonal and organisational skills, our Administration Volunteers are the linchpin for all local group activity.

We are looking to recruit an Administration Volunteer for the Moray Group. As an Administration Volunteer you will be organising the admin of a group and ensuring group volunteers are aware of current agreements and activities.

We are a small but active and welcoming group of volunteers who provide support through support volunteers and a monthly coffee meetup for people living with MS in the Terrace Hotel in Magherafelt, information events, seasonal outings, grants and exercise taster sessions.

We also hold fundraising events to help to provide the above and monthly team meetings to organise and plan our activities. Your role as an administration volunteer within this team is very important. You will be noting down actions and decisions in the monthly team meetings, helping with mailing out invitations to events, being part of the team in thinking up ideas or helping to support events.

This role is what you'd like to make of it. The opportunity to connect with other people, to volunteer in a friendly and supportive team and to make a real difference to people living in the Mid Ulster area by the support you are helping to provide together with your other volunteers.

We estimate that this role needs around 1-2 hours of your time a week. There is also a monthly team meeting, mail outs at different times of the year to help with, and the opportunity to get involved with the team's events du ring the year. But we are flexible around your availability.

We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones.

About you
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be a keen organiser of admin and record keeping and willing to share information with others.

It would be great to welcome a friendly, enthusiastic, organised person to join our Mid Ulster team in this role. Someone who can use their own initiative and is happy to share thoughts and ideas and able to help support the team in this role.

You’ll need to live in the Mid Ulster area to carry out this role.
