4370 - Project Worker 2 (Family Learning) (Term Time Only) x 2 - Newtownabbey Family Connections Service

You will be working with the Family Connections team in Newtownabbey on the BOOST project, working with local primary schools. This work is part of the collaboration THRiVE, a group of local parents, schools, voluntary and statutory organisations and community groups improving outcomes for children and young people. This is an exciting project, with momentum created by our aspirational WE CAN campaign and collective energy to raise attainment and build children and family well-being.
This role will focus on improving educational under-achievement through work with children and their parents.
- Working with pupils to improve literacy and numeracy attainment, using a range of interventions
- Working with parents, delivering information sessions and home-learning packs to support parents to promote learning at home, with a focus on literacy and numeracy
- Supporting the delivery of family learning sessions after school for children and parents to engage in learning activities together
With the project team, you will also co-ordinate family learning events to encourage children and parents to interact and learn together.
Please note: Although you will work 30hpw during Term Time, your pay will be based on 25.62hpw which includes 3.12hpw annual leave allowance
