4321 - Early Years Assistant (3 x posts) - Strabane SureStart

There are currently 3 Early Years Assistants posts available:

* Sion Mills - crèche assistant, based in Sion Mills Primary School - 11 hours per week.  Mon 9:00am - 1:00pm, Tues - Wed 9:00am - 12:30pm

* Donemana Sure Start - 22.5 hours per week.  Mon - Wed (9:00am - 5:00pm)

* Fountain Street - based in Fountain Street Community Centre, 15 hours per week. Mon - Wed 1:00pm - 5:00pm, Thursday 1:00 - 4:00pm

Strabane Sure Start aims to improve the ability to learn by encouraging stimulating play and improving language skills and early identification and support of children with learning difficulties and this will be a key part of these roles. Therefore a sound knowledge of child development is essential, as well good observation and written skills to record and monitor progress accurately and provide action plans, reviews and reports for individual children, recognising different needs.

You will be required to work with a multi - disciplinary team , including external agencies to improve health and social development. This may include home visiting and family support including befriending.
