4206 - Secretarial Assistant - Newry Family Resource Centre

The project works in partnership with the Southern Area Trust in order to achieve these aims and offers a range of services which include:
- The provision of a range of assessments to inform decisions regarding children's welfare to a range of forums such as Case Conference, LAC, Courts.
- The provision of a Self Referred Clinic to families experiencing relationship difficulties.
- The provision of a Mediation Service within the local courts.
- The provision of a Supported Child Contact Service.
- The provision of individual work and group work as a partner in the local Sure Start programme.
- Educational work with parents to enhance their awareness of an ability to respond to children's developmental needs.
- Provision of facilities for supervised contact to Trust staff and working directly with other agencies to promote children's welfare.
The candidate will be required to prioritise tasks and work with a range of demands on their time. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential for this role.
The role will include the following tasks:
- maintaining records using Microsoft packages and internal recording systems
- providing telephone/reception support
- processing invoices
- arranging transport for children and young people
- working with other agencies and Barnardo's projects

Location: Lisdrum House, Chequer Hill , Newry, BT35 6DY
Hours: 29 per week. Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm.
Salary: Circa £16,965 for full time working – actual salary will be paid pro rata (£13,572 for 29hpw)
*Starting salary is generally at the beginning of the pay band however, further consideration will be given to exceptional candidates
