Safe Choices provides a direct therapeutic service to young people who are affected by or at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation/Abuse or at risk of going missing from home or care.

The service provides support to young people on a 1:1 basis.  It also provides consultation to professionals i.e. Social Services, PSNI, Education and Health.

As Senior Practitioner (PW3) you will contributing to the ongoing development of a service that aims to re-empower children and young people and help them stay safe. 

As a Senior Practitioner you will provide therapeutic and psycho-educative support to children and young people who have been affected by or at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation.  You will work closely with the Team Manager and colleagues to ensure that the service is meeting contractual requirements.  You will also provide advice to external and internal professionals and advocate on behalf of Barnardo's at relevant fora.

Location: The post covers the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and either the Northern or Southern Social Care Trust subject to discussion.

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: £27,814 - £32,704
