Concern Worldwide

This is a free event
Sarah Travers hosts this online event with Monica McWilliams, Emeritus Professor at Ulster University and advocate for human rights for women, as she discusses the role of women in creating a more just, peaceful and equitable world.

Concern Worldwide believes that women and girls are the primary agents of change in the community and we place women’s empowerment at the heart of our humanitarian and development programmes.

As part of the One World Festival NI, Sarah Travers will host this online event to explore the role of women in creating a more just, peaceful and equitable world.  Monica McWilliams, Emeritus Professor at Ulster University, will discuss the importance of Gender Equality in today’s society.  We will also hear from a young woman living in NI today of her personal experiences.  Finally, a Concern staff member will provide insight on the challenges and opportunities of tackling gender inequality in Pakistan.
