Transitional Justice and the Burden of (Post) Colonialism

You are invited to attend a seminar by Professor Hakeem Yusuf.

Professor Hakeem Yusuf was recently appointed to the Chair in Law and Global Studies at the Derby Law School, University of Derby. Professor Yusuf  has researched extensively in transitional justice, economic and social rights, and comparative judicial constitutionalism. In 2011, he served on a truth and reconciliation commission in Osun State, South-West Nigeria. His book, Transitional Justice, Judicial Accountability and the Rule of Law (Routledge 2010) was shortlisted for the 2010 Kevin Boyle Prize. His second book Colonial and Post-Colonial Constitutionalism in the Commonwealth Peace, Order and Good Government (Routledge 2014) was awarded the John T. Saywell Prize for Canadian Constitutional Legal History 2015.
