On the 28th of March representatives from community organisations in Northern Ireland and Ireland, along with representatives from England, Scotland and Wales, will come together at NICVA in Belfast to reach agreement on a final version of the New Common Chapter for Cooperation Within and Between these Islands. This event marks an important stage in the Towards a New Common Chapter project, which thanks to the generous support of the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, the Community Relations Council, and the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Reconciliation Fund, has allowed groups from across these islands to consider their views on the need for cooperation and what issues relevant to community groups it could address, contained within the draft New Common Chapter (which you can read here).

NEA - NEW COURSE - Introduction to Domestic Renewable Low Carbon Technologies (Level 2 Award – CQ11641/001)
National Energy Action (NEA) NIOnline / VirtualSeminarTraining/AdviceWorkshopThe UK government set out a target, enshrined in the Climate Change Act (2008), to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions across the whole of the UK by 2050. Decarbonising homes is central to achieving that target and there is an urgent need to address the carbon emissions produced in heating and powering domestic properties. While the electricity powering lighting and appliances is decarbonising fast, the majority of homes still rely on burning fossil fuels for heating, hot water and cooking. This course will provide an introduction to the role domestic scale renewable technologies can play in reducing carbon emissions. Training - Evaluating Impact for the Community and Voluntary Sector - new dates released!
Centre for Effective ServicesOnline / VirtualTraining/AdviceWorkshopThis practical training programme will equip service and project leads with the tools and skills they need to evaluate the impact of their service or intervention in a meaningful way. It is suitable for those who need to understand the basics of evaluation, and those who need to enhance their skills in analysing and reporting data to be able to tell their story. The programme is split into 3 sessions, and you can choose to attend online or in person - you can attend an individual session or all 3 depending on your knowledge and experience.- - --
