Talk, Learn, Do NI: Parents, Kids and money FREE Training/Parenting Intervention
- How to report on your children's ability to handle and manage money
- How to manage your own day-to-day money as a parent
- Teaching your children how to recognise the difference between ‘want’ and ‘need’
- Teaching your children why you have to say ‘no’ to buying something.
Children learn about money from a very young age. A lot of what they need to learn as adults to manage money and help them avoid financial issues later on in their lives is already in place by the age of 7.
You may think that children shouldn't think about money until they are older. But it's ok to start when they are very young - the key is to keep it relevant to their age group.
Who is it for?
If you are a parent/carer/grandparent or anyone who is interested in passing on its guidance, have fun and give your child the confidence to learn about money from a young age.
Is there a cost?
There is no cost because Talk, Learn, Do NI is fully funded by the Money and Pensions Service.
